Consumer and Food / In addition to our investments in consumer service companies, we also have a wealth of experience of working with management teams manufacturing consumer goods, particularly food.

Drawing on the extensive experience of a number of our Operating Partners in this area, we look for opportunities to build sector-leading companies, to liberate and put resources into strong consumer brands with great growth potential and to make significant operational changes at companies to accelerate their growth. Our network of industry contacts is extensive in this sector, helping us to originate new deals and recruit excellent management teams.

Our current investments include Burton's Foods which now has three of the leading eight brands in the market and produces a fourth under licence. From a standing start and through a series of swift acquisitions, we have turned Adelie into the number one in the food-to-go category serving the expanding chilled food sector. At Accantia we backed the management’s plan to focus exclusively on its Simple brand, now the UK’s leading range of female skin care products by volume, and the market’s number three by value.
