Companies of interest to us are likely to have strong market positions in specialist sectors, based in the UK and France but with broad international customer bases.

As such they will probably be part of the supply chain of large and growing markets, such as power generation, energy efficiency, speciality materials and technologies. We also look for companies that have the potential to grow faster as focussed, independent concerns rather than as a part of a larger group, or that can lead in sector consolidation.

Among the deals we have concluded in this sector were the successful investment in both Métaux Spéciaux and Madison Filter. We are currently backing the management team of Deloro Stellite with its ambitious growth plans.
